Sponsors show legendary loyalty and commitment

Long before COVID-19 changed everything, the sponsors featured below—and many others—have been there for Vital Life in significant ways. Through their loyalty, passion and commitment, even in the midst of a global pandemic, we’re able to continue supporting our charitable partners and all those living and working in senior care.

BECOME A SPONSOR

HOOKED ON THE MISSION

Emerio Design

It didn’t take more than a few clicks on the Vital Life web site for Neal Fernando, Emerio Design principal, to decide to support the Foundation with his time, skills and annual donation. “I was hooked from the word go, because I love the mission statement—meeting people where they are on their aging journey,” he said. “I just love those words.”

PROTECTING THE LIVES OF THOSE WE SERVE

Kashi Clinical Laboratories

When the pandemic began and COVID-19 testing resources were in short supply, Kashi Clinical Laboratories stepped into the gap and provided tests with a 24-hour turnaround in lab results.  At this very challenging time, Kashi’s contribution helped protect the lives of senior care staff and residents, and in the process connected the company to Vital Life. “We are very grateful for the opportunity, and proud to have been part of lessening the complexity and the suffering for individuals and their families,” said Zahra Kashi, Ph.D., founder and CEO.

A TREMENDOUS RESOURCE FOR SENIOR CARE

Oregon Health Care Association

As the professional trade association that represents the senior care profession in Oregon, the OHCA has been there for Vital Life since the Foundation began. This year perhaps more than any other, in addition to their annual contribution, they stepped up and supported the people we serve and the staff who care for them. “This is a time when we all have to come together with a common purpose to help those who need it,” said Phil Bentley, OHCA President and CEO. “Having a partner like Vital Life provides one more asset in supporting seniors and staff, and together we are a tremendous resource.”

SUPPORTING THE FEEL-GOOD FOUNDATION

Cardinal Health

With a partnership that has continued for more than ten years, Cardinal Health has supported Vital Life unequivocally.  “My parents are in their 80s, and when I see the unique things the Foundation does, it’s heartwarming,” said Angela Perrie, vice-president of Alternate Care Sales. “It’s a feel-good Foundation that helps seniors and their caregivers live their best lives, and that’s really important to us.”

A DEEPLY PERSONAL CONNECTION

KPD Insurance

From the time Vital Life began in 2008, KPD has offered unwavering support. “The mission, values and vision for it is in lockstep with our mission,” said Kyle Hudson, chief executive officer. For Robert Weeks, executive vice-president, the Foundation’s annual Spirit of ’45 celebration is always deeply moving. At the 2019 event, he took the podium to honor his grandfather, a World War II veteran. “It was very personal to me to see my grandfather tearing up, and to be able to honor those veterans,” he said.

SEEING A NEED AND STEPPING UP

Inspired Results

Inspired Results has been a long-time sponsor of the Foundation, but during the pandemic the company came through in a big way for the senior care profession by sourcing personal protective equipment at a critical time. “Being who we are as an organization with a mission to support our clients, who basically became front-line workers during COVID-19, it was a natural fit,” said Shannon Cronin, vice-president of sales and product management.

GIVING BACK TO THE PROFESSION

LithiaRX/StatimRX

From the time LithiaRX and StatimRX were founded, they’ve made Vital Life a priority and integral to their mission. “It gives us an avenue to support so many important organizations,” says co-founder Craig Douglas. “If you’re part of this industry that you care so much about, it’s healthy to be giving back to great causes like the Foundation.”

DONATING DOLLARS, TIME, AND TALENT

CBTwo Architects

When CBTwo first found out about Vital Life, the Foundation’s goal of engaging seniors to be part of a community and enriching lives resonated deeply. “It was just so easy for us to jump on board,” said Garth Brandaw, Senior Principal.  Beyond its annual donation, CBTwo partnered with Vital Life and donated their time and talents to reimagine the outdoor spaces at the Ronald McDonald House East in Portland, Ore.

SUPPORTING SENIOR CARE HEROES

TwinMed Medical Supplies

TwinMed has been a Foundation sponsor for more than ten years. Beyond their annual contribution, they provided meals for exhausted staff at senior care facilities that were battling significant COVID-19 outbreaks. “Our contribution was very small in the overall scheme of things, compared with what Vital Life does,” said Terry Hunt, co-owner and president of sales. “I felt honored and privileged to be part of it.”

A PARTNER FROM THE BEGINNING

Accelerated Care Plus

Accelerated Care Plus has enthusiastically embraced Vital Life since the Foundation began, and despite all the challenges created by the pandemic, insisted on continuing its financial support in 2020. “It was a no-brainer,” said Deb Koepsel, ACP president.
