Backpack to School

Backpack to School aims to provide necessary school supplies to the children in grades K-6 of every senior care staff member in our partnering facilities. Ensuring the best possible educational experience is increasingly expensive—the cost of essential materials often exceeds $100 per child every year, and the financial challenges any family can face makes them an “extra” some parents cannot always afford.

Since 2008, we have distributed over 23,700 backpacks in 10 states with the help of 100 participating facilities and business partners.


Bringing Elevated Wishes to Life

Elevated Wishes

We partner with Wish of a Lifetime to bring Elevated Wishes to life. An Elevated Wish is life-enriching and born out of a compelling story. It holds value beyond a passing desire or casual thought – it is a dream, a lifelong goal, or a meaningful component to one’s life that has been missing.

Fulfilling a senior’s Elevated Wish may include reaching a recovery goal, re-experiencing an important life event, or crossing something off their bucket list.


Honoring Our Heroes

Journey of Heroes

Wish of a Lifetime and Vital Life Foundation have teamed up to form Journey of Heroes, honoring senior veterans who sacrificed so much. Together, they help veterans visit the Washington, D.C. war memorials that were created in their honor.


In the Spirit of Giving

Spirit Club

Marquis and Consonus staff give generously to support the Vital Life Foundation. Over 40% of staff give monthly to make up the second largest Vital Life funding source. Marquis and Consonus equally match each donation. Their combined generosity has meant over $1 million of support for the Foundation.


Giving of Ourselves

Vital Volunteers

Marquis and Consonus staff and residents support a variety of local charitable organizations of their choice by donating their time or money. Through our matching program, each employee or resident has the opportunity to give back up to $1,000 per year to the charity of their choice.
