This August, The Vital Life Foundation hosted the Spirit of ’45 Event, where over 60 veterans were honored. As a part of this celebration, Ageless Aviation took veterans on 30 minute scenic rides in a WWII-era biplane, the same two-seater plane that many military aviators trained in.
Stevenson, Washington (June 20, 2017) – When communities come together, they can create lasting change. The Vital Life Foundation, a Marquis Companies and Consonus Healthcare Foundation, was the recipient of the 2017 LeadingAge Washington Community Service Award given at the annual LeadingAge Washington conference. The mission of The Vital Life Foundation is to support organizations and programs that provide meaning and vitality in the lives of seniors and staff members living and working in long term care.
Nasslynne Lenz, a climber with Team Marquis, and Valerie Weiderman of the American Lung Association, were featured on KSNV talking about the 9th annual Scale the Strat event in Las Vegas. Team Marquis had a total of 78 climbers plus a number of volunteers who assisted with the event.
Doris Terhorst's grandson was born with a heart condition, so when she got the opportunity to knit hats for babies born during American Heart Month, she jumped at it. Terhorst and seven other Marquis Forest Grove residents spent a combined 262 hours hand-knitting hats to donate to babies born in February, American Heart Month.
