The Spirit of ’45 is an all-American-style community event that pays tribute to the bravery, service and sacrifice of the Greatest Generation. In partnership with Dream Flights, each year we honor senior veterans with complimentary flights in restored WWII-era Boeing Stearman biplanes. This event commemorates the national holiday, Spirit of ’45 Day, observed annually on the second week of August.

We recognize that this freedom was won with a cost. Of the 16 million Americans who served during WWII, only 1% remain with us, as of 2024. Join us in for inspirational ceremonies, an All-American picnic lunch, and live music as we celebrate the sacrifice and service of all our military heroes.
