Sharing Joy with Seniors on Valentine’s Day

Cupid Crew is an initiative championed by Wish of a Lifetime from AARP, which aims to combat loneliness in senior communities by providing them with fresh roses, handmade cards, and meaningful connection. “This is one of the most meaningful things I’ve ever done. We made every resident’s day splendid” reflected one Marquis Companies staff member. In addition to delivery, volunteers partook in creative card making efforts to make the recipient feel special.

In 2024, the Vital Life Foundation gathered volunteers across 11+ states to deliver 10,000+ roses, hundreds of handmade cards, and conversations to seniors in 70+ senior healthcare communities on Valentine’s Day. This event is nationally recognized, last year, the initiative saw 230,000+ roses delivered by volunteers across 300+ cities nationwide.
